| Hi Rhiannon Been down and had a nose myself this afternoon...stone looks genuine to me...no sign of being cut, no drill holes...but like Chris I am still not sure of its antiquity... There are loads of BIG stones built into walls and lying around in the area to suggest it just might be from field clearance...but why would someone go to all the trouble of raising a giant like this for a gatepost when there are so many other stones around that would have done the job far easier...
