I think that's the Wharncliffe area mate. There's a lost spring, a cave, and Walders Low in that general direction, a settlement of sorts is reported too i think. Not much on the ground though and no other forts till you sweep round to the Ash Cabin Flat area.
Lots of "stuff" then, even if no other fort, it's very prominent from your fort (nothing blocking the view between them anyway). Always good to see a nice bit of landscape context for a hillfort.
Yes, i'm obsessed with panorama's at the minute, great seeing the wider view isn't it, though you have to compress the hell out of files such as this to get them to upload here, 8.6mb down to 431kb.
You can also see the edge of the Peak district very prominently from the fort on any half clear day, and the other way views of at least 20 miles, which does get the mind racing.
What's the hill on the far left? Anything on it?

Yep, I don't think you can really appreciate a hillfort unless you can see how it fits into the stuff around it.
I take it this is the new camera, nice and sharp? (Or have you found a "WIIIIIDE Angle" button on your phone you never knew was there?)
Lol. Yes the "new" camera, well S/H one anyway.
I take a string of normal images and stitch them to get a really wide perspective. well i say "I", Pixmaker Pro does it all for me in honesty. ;)
