Skye is something else, SC. I had to return to look up some of the chambered cairns on the map I meant to see in 2008... but, er, sort of got distracted back then by realising an ascent of Sgurr Alasdair could be done without ropes. There's a youth hostel at Glen Brittle as well as a very good - if midge infested - campsite. You can walk direct to the Cuillin - and Rubh' a Dunain - from there.	Posted by GLADMAN 16th June 2012ce
