This is a ruined site with a spectacular view down the upper reaches of the Deveron valley. Man has damaged this circle by blasting and drilling but yet 5 stones remain including the recumbent and its flankers. It is an easily found monument. Leave the A920 Huntly-Dufftown road at the Haugh Of Glass signpost. This leads to the war memorial at the Glass village hall. Take the Cabrach road, look carefully as the hangmans tree is at the roadside, for 2 miles. The circle is on the slopes of the Hill of Dumeath. If in need of refreshment keep going until the Grouse Inn is reached!! Visited April 08. drewbhoy Posted by drewbhoy
