| Canon Greenwell writing in 1890 mentions the following in respect to carved rocks in the area - "Eight stones with these markings are preserved in the gardens at Peak House, or, as it is now usually called, Raven Hall, some of which are said to have been taken out of neighbouring barrows." So where did the other seven carved rocks go? |
