Monk's Cairn

Cairn(s)

Folklore

'Monk's Cairn is so-called solely because it marked the boundary of the land owned by the Abbey of Kinloss. The legend of its marking the spot where the monk of Grange was killed in a duel, is unfounded.'

W. Crammond, 1895.
