Just had a ping on Stewart Lee’s mailing list that the site is up for sale and there’s a community attempt to buy it and reopen it with a visitor centre - was closed in ‘20 through Covid and the family are now retiring and selling up. There’s a crowdfunder - sorry can’t do link. A more than worthy cause.
