I'm going to Lewis for work at the end of May and will have a free day while there. If I wanted to visit Callanish would it be possible to do so via public transport or would I have to hire a car? Hope this isn't a stupid question. tia for any help.

Hitching about is quite easy but there are buses that go to and from the site. We actually hired a car from Glasgow and drove up last year. There seemed to be quite a few buses about..........Have a look at the Stornaway Website which is quite useful ...Enjoy....It just awesome
