I think Lewisian Gneiss (if indeed that is what they are made of), is meant to be one of the oldest rocks on he planet... so Titchmarsch could be right... it felt really strange typing those last few words!

Never got over her idea that we are walking bag of "selfish" cells, probably navigated by a clumsy brain - last bit is my interpretation.. ;)
