Just to point out, if you want to visit this site now's a good time, the heather has been totally burnt off and the circle is completely clear, same story for the standing stone.

Just posted a couple of images showing how clear the sites are.

thanks for that, I've tried to find this site at least half a dozen times over the last three years to no avail, fingers crossed for a visit sometime this week then :)

edit: ps the pictures are great, I've got no excuse not to find it now, happens to be the nearest prehistoric site to home for me this one so have been mightily disappointed not being able to find it so far

When you park up in the car park take the signposted path up the banking, the one just to the right of the notice board and map, take the path that follows the dry stone wall, after about 100 metres you'll pass through a new gate, keep following the wall and about 50 metres further on you'll come to the end of the wall with a path to your left which takes you the other side of the wall, DON'T take this path just stay on the same side of the wall and follow it downhill, you'll notice it's broken in lost of places.
After about a further 50 metres head onto the burnt moorland to your right, the circle is about 75 metres in.
You can't really miss it now.
