You get cake and cold cava* half way a long the walk as well Goff ;)

And, there is also another interesting event at Cranbourne;

Archaeological Sites and Landscape of Cranbourne Chase at Down Farm (Martin Green) Sixpenny Handley..
A programme of guided walks through the archaeological sites and landscape of Cranborne, together with exhibitions, displays and activities based at Down farm
Unfortunately its on Saturday 1st August between 10.00- 17.00 (the day of the Avebury Megameet)..

*cava - had to look that one up, its sparkly wine.......

So..

How was the Cava and Cake ???

Hello

What a shame this isn't next week! My family and I are going to be in the area from next Friday for a couple of weeks. This would have been an ideal starting point for us! I have been to Avebury before, but my family haven't.

I hope there will be other events such as this.

I've been reading up on the Avebury - A Present From The Past website then I came across this one. What a wonderful resource!

Did you go? Was it any good?
