Heritage Action will be holding its 6th World Megameet this year on Sunday, the 17 July in Avebury. As before the Red Lion will be our venue if the weather is poor, otherwise the Megameet/Picnic will take place by the recumbent stone in the south-east quadrant of the Avebury Henge from around noon onwards.

Certainly marked on my calendar....

Put in my diary.
I was unable to go last year at the last minute.
Hopefully I will have more luck this year.
I have never been to one!

I shall be there the gods willing. I'll just be back from my hols in Cornwall.

Two weeks to go. Looking forward to seeing everyone again :-)

And...... Bucky, Loie and Gordon we are already working out the date for next year, so that you can all make it.

Just to let folks know, but there’ll be a post-Megameet dinner on Sunday evening for anyone interested and still in the area.

Erm... I know it's short notice, but I was thinking - as it doesn't look like people are comig from too far afield - the weather looks pretty nasty this weekend... Any chance of changing it? :D The prospect of sitting in a crowded pub with my 2 bairns doesn't really appeal, tbh... As wonderful as the company will be, of course!

:o(

waterproofs and brollys a gogo.

Only just got back after a fantastic stay in Wales - visiting Foel Drygarn and some other truly amazing places!

Great to see old friends at the Megameet again (as well as some new faces only known until now as posters here :-) Showery but plenty of sunny gaps in-between for a wander round - plus the added attraction (with Scubi) of chasing some plonkers off a stone: Germans on bikes this time... jeeze.

Congrats to Bucky and Loie on making it to the seventh ledge, and really looking forward to seeing you both (and others who couldn’t make it) next year.
