Dear Ed
In the Land's End section, there are two sites: Pendeen and Pendeen Vau. As far as i can see they are in fact one and the same and should be called Pendeen Vau Fogou. Not cairns. Can you work your magic, please?

Also the news item post on the Pendeen Vau page is dead.

Cheers

At http://www.west-penwith.org.uk/just4.htm there appear to be two seperate references , one to a vau at Pendeen and the other a fogou at Boscaswell . Archsearch lists two fogous at Boscaswell with the grid reference SW3734 . Again these are seperate records ; EHNMR-625830 excavated in 1864 and EHNMR-625544 in 1954/5 . No prehistoric or Roman cairn .

I'd agree. I can't find anything else on the map or in any of books that suggests there is something else in the vacinity. And SW384355 seems to be the accepted grid ref.

Pendeen Vau (pronouned 'Voe') is the name used in The Mod Ant book and seems to be widely used elsewhere. The site was unfortunately given the type 'cairns' - obviously wrong.

The Pendeen Fougou site was added much later. It's now gone. All posts have been moved to the Pendeen Voe page.

Thanks

Just had a squiz at your photo of Moth Jane...

It's a bit on the large side isn't it Jane? On my chuggy modem, it took quite a while to arrive (not that I was dissapointed of course). Just thought 100k of Mothman was a bit cruel for those of us 'sans broadband'.

Cows also very slow, and about the same size (i.e. Moth is the sam size as a cow). Meant as constructive feedback.
