Ring of Brodgar

For Jane

close

Jane I wanted to say I loved your painting, "Big Sky Brodgar". I had a vision of a picture like that. I wanted it to be an album cover and you painted it, amazing! Even down to the people standing by the stones(well not the same as in my head but close enough). I just wanted to say, WOW! I love that painting.

yeah gorgeous; more where that came from...!

Jane's away on her holidays just now, back later in the month, so she probably won't reply

Cheers

I have that very painting hanging in my living room - It's amazing! It somehow changes as the light changes throughout the day... looks different every time you look at it. Beautiful!

My very own original "Tomlinson"! Or should I say the first of many..? :oD

We went to the Ring O'Brogar for our honeymoon (among many, MANY other places), and used the money our parents gave us as a wedding present to buy the painting...

Just thought... [checks Jane's website for paintings of Western Isles for impending first anniversary]

Yo mathrocker!!!! Glad you like the pic. Couldn't respond before cos we've been away: me and Moth flew back in from Amman today so we're a bit wrecked after two gruelling weeks on the searingly hot dusty roads of Syria and Jordan.

Saw loads of bonkers crumbly stuff - R*man, Byzantine, Ottoman, Nabatean (Petra!!!!!), Chr*stian and Neolithic too! In fact yesterday morning we were looking at FIELDS of dolmens lining the Jordan Valley just north of the Dead Sea. (Quite close to the baptism site actually). I'm not kidding when I say that we must have seen between 50 and 60 dolmens in the space of 3 hours. What a mindblast! More soon - with pictures!

It almost got thrown away!? Good save Moth!!! I am glad you two had fun on your trip. Being that I was born and spent the first 13 years of my life in Long Beach, California, followed by two years in Las Vegas Nevada, then 10 years in Flagstaff Arizona, I must state the hot sunny weather no longer appeals to me. None-the-less Syria and Jordan sound like interesting places to go.

Love,
Mathrocker

'Fragile' is a nice one. Love the hidden butterflies.
