Sad. Let go you gits!!!

From the article: Tarmac estates manager Bob Nicholson said: ''We believe this revised application serves to demonstrate that we understand the concerns of the community, the county council and English Heritage.''

He gets worse. I really don't know how he's got the brass neck. Understand the concerns???? They've understood the concerns all along - it's just that they don't give a shit. And, to me, this proves it.

Grrrr.

Estates manager Bob Nicholson said: "Both the county council and English Heritage were anxious to preserve the south-west part of Ladybridge Farm as the land there is higher and they feel this area has the potential to be of archaeological significance."

Spin here, methinks.....looks like he's dictating what the County Council and English Heritage think..... where are these people's PR departments? I note that Thornborough doesn't exactly feature on EH's website. I can't find EH's response, but those loveley people at the Friends of Thornborough carry this:

http://www.friendsofthornborough.org.uk/english_heritage_.htm

"English Heritage believes that any extraction within the Thornborough Moor area would have a substantial and detrimental impact on the archaeological environment and the setting of the henges. We will therefore resist the inclusion of Thornborough Moor as a "preferred area" in the revised Minerals Local Plan through our role as statutory consultee in the planning process."
