Have been looking for some information on any Cornish Neolithic Henge monuments for weeks and can only find very basic details
I know there is a few and am really interested in visisting or finding out more about them.
Someone told me that the ones in Cornwall are not the typical henge monument and am looking to research the differences between Cornish Henges in the those in the rest of the U.K.
Anyone know anything about them eg. the location any details ect.
Or if not then any good websites to look at or books to read??

Any help would be great.
Cheers
Mirla!

Cornwall in Prehistory - Toni-Maree Rowe ISBN: 0752434403

Hello Mirla , Castlewich , Castilly and the Stripple Stones are the three usually mentioned in connection with Cornwall but there have two recent "possibles" at St Newlyn and Deep Tye Farm .

Just henges, or stone circles in general? There's loads of really great stuff down there isn't there!

Hi Mirla

As has already been said there are three confirmed henges in the county, Castilly, Castlewich and the Stipple Stones. All three can be found on this website. I am also putting forward my 'henge' on Bodmin Moor until anyone tells me otherwise!

I have not visited Castilly or Castlewich but the Stipple Stones is a great site..but not that easy to get to..
I have not yet had a look at Tye farm and St Newlyn is a new one to me..

Mr H

Thanks for your suggestions, have had a look at most of the info you sugeested and has been very helpful so far!

Have looked at St Newlyn East, dont think most of the details have been published yet, neither Deep Tye.
Will keep my eyes and ears open for any info to share with you all!
cheers
Mirla!
