I've not heard of that, but there is a possible E-W alignment between the Fiddler, the Magic Water Stone and St Eval Church which was possibly a stone circle in times past - there are several biggies incorporated in the churchyard hedge there.

I've only checked this roughly - holding a ruler to my screen, but it looks a reasonable alignment. Check it out yourself.
