Leafing quickly through a borrowed copy of the Times this morning I came across a very brief article describing a "submerged village and stone circle". Apparently it was discovered during a dry spell but after heavy rain has been covered by water again.
Sorry about the lack of details but it was a speed read. Is this old news? (Or new?)
Jim.

I can't say I have heard of it and have looked at the Times on line and can't see anything. I will be see the evening with the National Park archaeologist this evening so will see if he knows anything and will pass it on.

Peace , Lubin

Metherall settlement [hut circles] appears on t'other channel http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?thold=-1&mode=flat&order=0&sid=15138
just http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/7413/fernworthy_hut_circle.html here
stone circle could refer to Froggymead here

The settlement and circle are below Tottiford Reservoir near to Lustleigh on the east of the moor. There has been a feature about it tonight on BBC Spotlight which you may be able to find on iPlayer.
