Wow! i visited these magical places on Saturday. Something i've always wanted and felt i needed to do. Nothing and no-one can prepare you for the feeling you get when you see the top of Silbury for the first time. That will stay with me forever. I'm glad to report, Pilgrim, that there was no evidence of any wooden cat statues along The Avenue and we only found one tea tree light inside WKLB. Any info on Falkner's Circle, btw? Please. We didn't manage to check that out, as it was time to catch the bus. edit: Thank You, TMA ED, for the link.

I hope the TMA meet will have a glorious day like we did.

Cheers!

Wow glad you liked Avebury etc....I love the place and even lived near by for 4 years. Only one stone remains of the Faulkener circle, it stands in a field east of the avenue, ive no idea of grid ref, but im sure someone has!! Yeah!! x

Really glad you enjoyed your trip to Wiltshire - The Avebury Complex never disappoints. Did you have a walk along the Ridgeway? It's always worth a couple of hours.
