I came across this on a website tonight. It sounds very encouraging, if a little too late. So many cairns have been affected this way. Here's the link for those who are interested (page down to the eleventh/twelth photo):-

Big cairns on hilltops in Scotland are the norm for anything that is a 2top" over ,say , 700 m but I can't think of one off hand that had a burial in it , the burials on summit cairns tend on lower hills are confined to lower heights . Do any of those cairns have recorded burials ?
