So apart from the two obvious biggies, what's worth seeing then? Not averse to the odd bit of medieval action either.

I assume you are referring to Castlerigg & Long Meg?

If so, you MUST visit Swinside (Sunkenkirk). Thats an order. :)

Little Meg is a lovely site (Keep an eye out for the rock art)

Druids Circle at Ulverston, Gamelands, The Cockpit, Mayburgh, Copt Howe, White Moss, Blakeley Raise, Greycroft.

Oooh - and The Giants Graves. (all of 'em) I had a phenomenally spooky time at the Cairn circle. My advice is not to go in fog with a hangover.
