OK I've maybe asked this before but I have a short memory so here goes...

I have to pop up to Aberdeen and Inverness next week with work, only for a day/night probably but I am determined to sliver in some stones while there.
It'll be either in the evening after "work" or inbetween calls so I will most likely in good work gear.

Last time up in Aberdeen I did Tyrebagger at lunchtime (& so did half of Dyce!), and I've been to Clava cairns before, and I know it's easy to get to in a car so I'll probably do that too.

Any more suggestions?

Next to the A96 perhaps?
Ideally they should be accessible but nice.
And it'd be nice to see some more rock art.
Methinks I ask too much ;-)

There's loads Pebs - Off the top of me head, there's all the Dunnideer stuff for a start - too many to list here (mostly ruined) - see big papery TMA - chapter in the 'white pages' about Aberdeenshire.

But below are the real 'quick wins' for limited time etc:

Fairly near Inverurie - Balquain http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/browse.php?site_id=184

Very near Inverurie - East Aquhorthies http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/browse.php?site_id=188

IN Inverurie - Broomend of Crichie henge & stones http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/browse.php?site_id=263

Loanhead of Daviot's not far off http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/browse.php?site_id=189

Have to say IMO the photos don't do any of em justice ('cept Balquain mebbe)!!!

ENJOY
