Yeah, I had to take some household shite to the dump yesterday and seeing as the dump is next to the henge, Moth and me decided to go have a looksee, especially as I had some info forwarded to me about the plans for the Quoits this summer.
I was told that there is an outline plan to complete restoration this summer. A source of conglomerate stones to replace the lost stones has been found very locally and once the original posthole sites have been marked, these will be erected hopefully in June/July.
There is a plan for an Open Day on which one or two of the original stones will be left to be reerected, but no date has been set.
I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear of a date. Good excuse to get everyone here for a bit of a party!
