You many remember that the C*ntryside Alliance were put under some pressure after they publicised the burning of NO BAN slogans on hillsides in 2004, which included one burnt next to the Long Man of Wilmington.

As of August last year this had apparently been removed from their website. However now it is back.

Maybe they feel the heat is off them now?

I remember writing to them but got no answer back of course, did highlight this;

'A Blue Print for the Countryside' that “explicit sustainable tourism strategies must be devised and implemented to ensure that the quality of the landscape and its biodiversity are all conserved.” their own words....

Perhaps they should have an environmental charge made against them, urbanites are not allowed bonfires in their back gardens.
