Thanks for the transcript which I have just read through and can confirm is an accurate account of what took place.

Just forced myself to watch a tape of last night's programme - very hard going. I will definitely be making a written complaint to both OFCOM and ITV.

The main point of my complaint will of course be the gross disrespect to the LONG MAN and also to the local Pagan group - who, to my eyes, discharged them selves with dignity throughout. T&S paid token lip-service to their point of view and then carried on regardless.

Watching the women in white suits crawl around on the monument at the behest of Trinny with a loud speaker made very uncomfortable viewing. Presumably they were getting paid a nomimal fee but throughout the entire programme I felt women were being exploited. This will also be an aspect of my complaint.

Going further back in the programme a group of women were asked to stand still and semi-clothed for what seemed like several hours in a main shopping street. I'm normally a mild-mannered 'live and let live' sort of person but I really wanted to scream something at these women for going along it and allowing themselves to become objects of ridicule.

Thankfully I won't need to watch this patronising and banal programme again.

I saw it!

The bit that stood out most for me was one of the women taking part saying:

"I think they're wrong, the Druids down there. But I don't think it's their hill anymore than anybody else's hill. I think we're quite alright here."

Erm... No - I'm sure the Druids down there also don't think it's their hill any more than anybody else's - that's why they don't think ANYONE should be climbing the hill! Not even them!

Apart from any religious meaning the hill figure has to some, people clambering around on the hill will eventually erode it, so should certainly not be encouraged!

But we all know that, don't we?
