Rollrights — new layout?

I've been to the Rollrights today for the first time in a couple of years, and was surprised to see the surrounding area layout VASTLY improved.

The fence by the stones has been removed and there's loads of room to walk back and take a photo of the full ring http://www.suaveharv.com/rollrights.jpg

Also, there's a pathway to the Whispering Knights so you don't have to walk the risky route along the road.

How long has it been like this? It's much better. Sorry if this is old news, but it's good news.

Oooops, sorry. It's old news, I should have checked.

But it's still great. It means people that want to spend time at the stones can do so - but away from the monument itself. The new patch of grass is great for sitting around and enjoying the stones without worrying about damage to the area around the stones.

And it can get busy there, I had to wait for a while today, for people to leave the circle before I took a photo.
