Countryfile was worth catching yesterday. Mainly around and about in Yorkshire but there was an interesting little piece 29 minutes in about the Shell Guides and 'the golden age of motoring' back in the 1930s. Artist John Piper wrote the Oxfordshire Shell Guide and did some illustrations of the Rollrights.
The Countryfile presenter visits the Rollrights on a sunny day last summer (in an Austin Seven) has a stroll the stones and talks about John Piper.
