Was up at the Rollright stones at the wknd and was disappointed to see the 'witch' still standing there turning the king to stone.
I think it's a great idea to have the odd sculpture or some other point of attraction at these places for a short time (maybe during school holidays etc, it being an illustration of the folklore) but it looks like this one is there to stay.
To leave it there permanently cheapens the monuments a bit to my mind and the experience of visiting such an ancient place suffers for it.

Any thoughts? Does anybody know if there are plans to take it down at some point?
