I walked around the pond at silbaby today and on the edge of the mound picked up a Bronze aged Axe head

This has got to be a good sign to establish its age yes?

Looks good, if a little small for an axe head?

I'd suggest we use the outing on the 12th for an in depth survey, assuming the land-owner's permission can be obtained and the ground is dry enough.

Congratulations, Pete, what a lovely find! And surely some evidence in favour of Silbaby being a monument in it's own right?
