Mooching through an article in WAM on Google, I found the following ..
"dug into what is called a druid's barrow which happened to be on the line they had selected"
the note referring to this also states..
"From Stukeley's description and 9th plate, it would appear that they also helped themselves very freely to the crown of a barrow now planted on the other side of the road"
Could it be?.... the bit about Silbury/Silbaby is on the latest Silbury link page 341 ..
