I have just been checking out thee new look *Modern Antiquarian* which is really wicked wicked btw!!!!...Um I'm FINKIng of spending a few days checking castle rigg out...getting to zeeee point: is the the horse and Farrier pub the best place ?

I tried checking their web site but the link didney work??? Are they any cop and can you walk to the site easly from this place? Does any one have any more details as It saves me haaving to phone them and speak to them and its hassle inUm8 ) fanks in advance?

here you are charles, this is what those well-heeled lefties at the guardian think anyway.

I stayed at a fine campsite when I went but I appreciate it's a bit cold at the moment.

Catslerigg FARM (not Hall, stopped going their due to obnoxious old woman owning the place) is good basic camping. Horse And Farrier is a great pub, really good food. Never stayed overnight though, but is probably a good 40mins walk from circle, camping is closer at about 15-20mins.
