I am always amazed by the depth of discussion on these forums, and I am almost embarased to post this
But here goes
I visited Long Meg the day before the solstice
I noticed that when viewed from the smalll square stone, just by the side of the road, Long Meg interacts with the two spherical stones, that form one side of the entrance, to look incredibly phallic
Intentional, or the overactive imagination of a guy spending the solstice away with his girlfriend free of kids & grandkids for a wonderfully peaceful cumbrian break?
I noted another view on the Long Meg pages that mention a similar effect, this one hower was much more effective.
Cheers
Dave
