What to visit?

Am driving up to Weymouth/Portland on Saturday. I have some spare time whilst other half is yapping at some meeting...is there anything of interest not too far from there that I should seek out? Don't want to drive far as i will have allready driven up from Cornwall.

Try Corfe Castle, maybe nothing prehistoric stood there but from up top you get a marvellous panoramic view that does.

Kingston Russell stone circle isn't too far - and I think it's one of the best in terms of its setting, etc. Well worth a visit, if you can find it.

The Nine stones, Winterbourne Abbas. Look out for the Lizards!

Maiden Castle blew me away with its sheer size. If you've not been there before then visit. Truly astonishing. Imagine Avebury's banks and ditches thrice over (probably more).
Have a good un wherever you end up.
