When will that fuckhead of a farmer stop letting his cattle loose on the site ?

I was there at the weekend and it looks like the Glastonbury festival after a downpour, sludgefest city

1ft deep tractor tracks thru the circle and friesans ripping up all the turf around the stones about 70 of em trundling around the circle shitting all over them and ripping Gib hill apart and the avenue has more or less disappeared into a cattle track

Total disgrace and the cunt has the cheek to ask for money on the way in

A reply from the Estates surveyor in reply to my complaint about damage been done to the "cursus" and general area.

Dear sir, thank you for your letter to our customer services which has been forwarded to me for attention, i apologise for the slow response.
I have taken advice from our own archaeologists and the Peak park because as you know this site is jointly managed.

Erosion of the stone circle and other scheduled monuments is of concern to us.
We have recently carried out turf repairs to the larger problem areas on Arbor lowe although more is to be done.
Last year we altered the access points to reduce erosion by visitors.
A full earthwork survey has also been commissioned and recently completed and we will shortly be in a better position to understand and monitor any changes.

Grazing in the field around the circle is by agreement with a local farmer and we regard this as the best and most sustainable way to maintain and manage the field.
Stocking rates have to be adjusted according to the weather and it is not always easy to get the balance right.
We do visit regularly but do not believe that serious damage has taken place this winter however we are keeping this under review.
Thanks for your interest in Arbor lowe and for taking the trouble to write.
Yours sincerely,
Adrian C Baker MRICS
Estates surveyor.
