hmm now that ive got your attention! i was up at the pikestones recently and read the info board its says that the pikestones is on of only two chambered barrows ever found in lancashire does anyone know the other?

Hi T.H.!!

According to a Prehistoric Society publication (volume 62 1996)
" A chambered round cairn - of unusual type" can be found at the northern end of Stronstrey Bank, just above Black Coppice quarry.

I've not had time to go and check it out yet, but hope to in the next few weeks.
