This might interest some people - there's a digitisation project at
http://www.duchas.ie/en
which I've been doing a bit on. They want volunteer transcribers for reams of folklore and stories which was collected from school children in Ireland in the 1930s. Some of it's in Gaelic but some is in English. There's lots of everyday stuff about food and local characters and so on, but the bits I most like to come across are about fairy forts (naturally).
If the handwriting's clear I'm finding it rather easy and fun to do, and in these dark evenings my brain's not up to anything very much so it beats watching nonsense on the tv and falling asleep on the sofa (my other customary activities at the moment regrettably).
