Morning and a happy new year y'all.
Last year I aquired a collection of french postcards...no, not that type. They mainly depict dolmens, menhirs, simulacra and rocking stones. I've scanned them and uploaded them onto flickr. Please feel free to use them for any non-greedhead purpose you wish.

Oooh, some nice ones there... cheers!

Phwoeur! Merci for that fitz. Fantastique!

Thanks - I found a French country pot in a junk shop this morning - brown saltglaze casserole for beans. Incised/pressed pattern a continuation of Beaker decoration tradition. Left it in the shop with the message 'sell it to someone from Jesmond' - bought Chinese. (!)

Ah, thanks fitz - excellent stuff! Wonder who collected them...

They are cool! I love the one of him standing on la pierre pese - it's just down the road from my parents house.

Ay up folks,
The postcard bug has kinda bit this year, which makes me feel more than a little trainspottery but what the hell, it's a cheap hobby and keeps me out of trouble on a dark night.
Anyway I've started to add put these cards online at flickr and would like to invite you good folk to add to the collection, if you so wish.
The group is here

by the way, before you ask, I have no idea who group mermber jonilee56 is but he obviously has a dark & dirty secret..he enjoys looking at pictures of old stones on the internet (-:

TA DA !!!!!

Still firing those excellent old pics out there Mr Fitz. Please keep doing so. I do hope that it wasn't you I was bidding against a while back for an old card of Duddo. (I lost the auction unfortunately). I've got a couple of ones I'll have to get around to scanning for yonder image pool.

Hi Fitz,
Wonderful collection you've got there. I love that sort of stuff. 'cos it shows things how they used to be, and it's good to compare with recent photos. If I find any interesting stuff I'll pass it on to you.
Keep up the good work, and regards, as usual.
TE.
