Approaching the wondrous chambered cairn, the outlook toward the Bay of Firth will not take second billing. I’ve attempted to highlight some further monuments – including the stunning Cuween Hill – as best I can.

Guess because it's unexpected on Orkney (unless you've been before and know better). Walk 'round the corner and think ... 'now if I was going to build a monument I'd place it... oh. Right where it is'. Utterly top drawer.
I love that bay. Would I be right in thinking the sea level would have been a lot lower when Wideford was built?
