I was absolutely thrilled with the article and I would never have gotten into this without seeing your wonderful pictures and all the work Fourwinds did at field-walking. It shows that archaeology is not just for trained archaeologists but for everyone with a strong interest in it. I've also found the "trained archaeologists" to be very open to new ideas and free with their time which is also great.
Lovely. Great idea.
It works a treat. Of course there is the argument that maybe some of them never had a dome but that's for another day.
It'd be handy for when it rains. ;-)
Was your alignment suspicion confirmed?
Ya it was to me anyway.
Great stuff Bawn, I've yet to visit this site but your work has spurred me on. Good show! (thanks for the 'hat tip' in your recent article btw!)
Its well worth a visit Cian - Corderry wedge tomb can be taken in on the way up to it themodernantiquarian.com/site/8351/corderry.html and also themodernantiquarian.com/site/1035/gortavoher.html & themodernantiquarian.com/site/10511/st_berriherts_kyle.html are in the vicinity. I look forward to seeing what you can do with it.
