Probably an Extinction Revisionism Matters reaction to a standing stone with "VR" on it. Plus obviously the connections with Bronze Age slavers, exploitative Tin and Copper trading cartels and suchlike. Needed destroyed, the stump uprooted and thrown in a harbour.
Imagine what destructive vandals like that would like to do to the Bamiyan Buddhas and other stuff they don't agree with. Like them Sumerian Winged Human-headed Lion-Bulls in Iraq and stuff like that. Wouldn't suit their agenda. The Arbor Low Destructivists would probably destroy those kind of ancient works too. Certainly given the Assyrian Kings love of slaves and wives.
It will be easy to find the culprits. The culprits will be standing on a corner on Facebook waiting to be offended by whatever suits their fancy.
