You know Postie, I've never particularly liked Arbor Low, and never expected to see a photo of it that made me feel otherwise, but you just got me with this one. That's totally a remarkable shot. As a keen deployer of artificial light as I am, I especially love it when the big glowy thing in the sky is caught at just the right time and here it's a perfect combo of light from sky and water from the earth. Raucous applause :-)
Well done Postman... these 'mistical' photos are lovely. Thanks for getting up early and generously sharing the experience with us sleepyheads!
Can't resist Arbor Low and Gib Hill when visiting youngest son in Derby, so know it fairly well, but don't think I've ever seen such gorgeous photos of the site.
Apart from the usual daytime pics, I'd posted some more atmospherically bleak 'icy' ones of the henge, and a rosy Winter Solstice view of Gib Hill on Meg P in the past, but they're not a patch on yours.
Very beautiful photos - well captured Postman.
Happy Equinox and here's to the return of summer. Its so good to feel warm again.

(Nor is my comment a patch on Hob's!) ;-)
