
The somewhat incongruous (but rather groovy) monkey puzzle trees in the background seem to provide a destination for many people walking up Hergest Ridge from Kington. Not sure what Mike Oldfield thinks...

Looking west into Wales. Hanter Hill, a prominent landmark from the nearby Four Stones stone circle, is on the right.
Glacial erratic boulder on Hergest Ridge. According to the nearby info board, the stone is supposed to go down to the nearby spring to drink at midnight, rather like the nearby Four Stones over the border in Radnorshire.
A flint arrownhead was found near the Whet Stone, and then lost by Hereford Museum, apparently.
