A winter visit is recommended, the cairn will be swamped with bracken in the summer. Image credit: A. Brookes (30.12.2017) thesweetcheat Feb 17, 2018
Looking north towards the Reform Tower, which makes for the best landmark to find this cairn. Image credit: A. Brookes (30.12.2017) thesweetcheat Feb 17, 2018
Buried in bracken, this is actually one of the biggest cairns on Stanton Moor. Image credit: A. Brookes (30.12.2017) thesweetcheat Feb 17, 2018
12/02. SK251633. This large cairn is near the Reform Tower. The Heathcotes excavated here in the 1930’s and found a food vessel and a flint arrowhead. stubob Dec 17, 2002
