Here’s a GoogleEarth image of the main field at Kirkhaugh which has a clear shot of the Long Mortuary Enclosure. This is listed on the county SMR but hasn’t been scheduled or anything.
There are three cairns at this site, and at least one of them is known to have contained a burial. The Kirkhaugh “ear ornament” (looks more like a dreadlock ring to me!), identical to that which was found buried with the famous “Amesbury Archer”, was discovered in this burial and is some of the earliest gold sheetwork known in Britain.
“Summary: This report presents the results of geophysical surveys conducted as part of the North Pennines AONB Partnership’s ‘Altogether Archaeology’ community project at Kirkhaugh in Tynedale. The works comprised detailed geomagnetic and earth resistance surveys over a Bell beaker barrow prior to renewed excavation; the site had been partially excavated in 1935.”
