Knight of the Royal Order of St. Olaf of Norway, Lately Vice-President of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, Member of the Archæological Societies of Athens, Nassau, Copenhagen, etc. Honorary Professor of Antiquities to the Royal Scottish Academy, and Professor of Medicine and Midwifery in the University of Edinburgh.
