Together with the Royal Oak, the 'Mutton' is one of the best Real Ale pubs in Wantage. It has two bars, both with real log fires. Beer is usually from the Butts Brewery (Barbus Barbus is good), with guest beers also. It doesn't serve food. There is a small outside courtyard if your a smoker. Good 'ol fashioned working mens pub serving cracking beer. It's not mutton dressed as lamb, it's just mutton. |
