I am Nigelswift's older & more mature sister & have been maligned on this site before but not sufficiently to bother to Register & reply. However I would like to point out that memory varies. From what I remember Flippertygibbett meant imaginative, dainty, feminine, witty, amusing, artistic, if flighty. Need I say more?
