The moon rose beautifully over the Sleeping Beauty soon after midnight on Monday morning. There were, I estimate over 150 people there, with 4 or 5 tv crews. I'll post my pictures and detailed comments in due course, and will also update my web-page with timings for coming months. Unfortunately, Lewis cloud covered the moon about half-way across its transit, and although there was a slight glow in the clouds around 2.15, the moon never reappeared for the moonset among the stones. It was, nevertheless, a wonderful experience to be there, with the added plus that I did have a very brief but friendly conversation with Margaret - the first time we have spoken face to face since the Christening of our first grandchild - who is now 14 .....
