Llyn Cerrig Bach - Lake of Little Stones Ann Ross who writes about the place in her Lindow Man book, says that it was probably the site of an important sanctuary, the gold and probably slaves offered as sacrifice, as the traders came over from Ireland, it is a pure iron age site, that was obviously destroyed after the roman victory...
