The head honcho from Kent Heritage is winging her way thence as you read this, and she's excited on the back of a few photos, so we'll see.

Having only seen a couple of examples close up myself, I can't comment, and with the extremely mangrove holey stones around these, anything is possible.

I also don't claim or believe these stones are where they started either - the whole area was woodland until 30 years ago, and the roads used to be lined with sarsens dragged out of the way, so it's likely these just ended up being dumped here. Why there are two triangular stones on edge, I dunno. Maybe someone thought it looked good!
